Title: *15 Shaaban night* 

 *Question* : I know that night of 15th Shaban (Shab-e- Barat) is a very sacred night. But I have read in some books that all hadiths pertaining to this night are very weak and that no special prayers are to be done for this night. Kindly tell me whether this is correct or not in the light of the holy Quran and sunnah. And also what is the belief of Ulama of Deoband about it?

(Fatwa: *1095/851/B=1434* ) Yes, all the hadiths related to the virtues of 15th of Shaban are weak, but all the scholars of hadith agree that it is lawful to practice weak hadiths if it is related to fazail (virtues). However, it is not lawful to practice weak hadiths if it is related to ahkam (commandments). No special worship is narrated in this night. However, if someone wants to pray he may do so in his house individually. People should not give it celebration look in the pathways or in the mosques during this night; it is the practice of Ahl Batil (deviants).

 பராஅத் இரவின் பழாயில்  பற்றி வரும் ஹதீதுகள் அனைத்தும் பலகீனமானவை.எனினும் முபஸ்ஸிரீன்களது கூற்றாகிறது அமல்கள் குறித்து வரும் பலவீனமான ஹதீதுகளை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம்.

எனினும் பலவீனமான ஹதீதுகளை அஹ்காம் எனும் கட்டளைகள் குறித்து ஏற்க வேண்டியதில்லை.இந்த இரவில் எவ்விதமான சிறப்பான இபாதத்தும் அறிவிக்கப்படவில்லை.

எனினும் எவராவது பராஅத் இரவில் தொழுதிட விரும்பினால் அவர் தனியே தனது வீட்டில் தொழுது கொள்ளட்டும்.

மக்கள்  பள்ளிவாசல்களில் ஒன்றுகூடி கொண்டாடுவது பித்அத் கூட்டதாரின் செயல்முறையாகும்.

அதில் செய்யப்படும் சிறப்பு வணக்கங்கள் பித்அத் ஆகும்

எனவே முன்னோர்கள் செய்த அமல் என்று பொதுமக்கள் யாரும் சிறப்பு வணக்கங்களில் ஈடுபட வேண்டாம்

பித்அத் யாவும் வழிகேடு என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளவும்.

இன்று தமிழகத்தில் மத்ஹபு மறுப்பாளர்களான போலி தவ்ஹீது கூட்டத்தாரின் முன்னோடிகள் இந்த தேவ்பந்த் தப்லீக் ஜமாத் வஹாபிகள்.

இதில் பின்னர் வந்த ஒரு கூட்டத்தை எதிர்த்து மற்ற முன்னோடி கூட்டத்தை பெரிய மத்ரஸா,எங்களது உஸ்தாதுகள் ஓதிய மத்ரஸா என்பதால் மவ்னம் காப்பது  என்பது முனாபிக்தனமாகாதா ???
